Schadenfreude=Ha-ha!

In the past 48 hours I’ve heard the word “schadenfreude” used three different times: CMS blogger Andy Havens, philosopher Tim Yenter and the Microsoft-taunting Josh Lewis.

The German word means taking delight in the misfortune of others, and as Havens said, is best translated in the “Ha-ha!” delivered by Simpsons character Nelson Muntz. That’s your vocab lesson for the day.
