It’s opinion time.
Kevin gave me a couple of links to easily change the look of my blog. It involves no “techy” work at all, which is good, because I don’t really care that much about the tech part of the site. I don’t like dealing with the code and programming and all that (every time I link to something I make Kevin tell me the code for it). All I really want to do is have a place to ramble.
So here’s the deal. I’ve been looking through some of the skins that people have created. Some of them are sort of fun looking (all though I am sure that the graphic designers of the world are sheilding their eyes, but whatever), some of them are cutesy looking and some I can’t decide if they are so ugly they are cool, or if they are just plain ugly. I’ll probably switch the look of my blog several times before I decide on one, so if you have any input on the look, now is the time to speak up. I won’t be offended if you can’t stand it since I didn’t design it. So, tell me what you think.

You may have noticed that the look of my blog has gone from boring to worse. Apparently my site is not letting people comment, even after they sign up. So Kevin tried resetting the blog template, hoping to fix it. That didn’t really do anything except make it look worse than it already did.
Hopefully we can get everything working again soon. But until then, if the site rejects your comments know that I still love you.

I checked my junk mail box in my yahoo account today. 901 messages from people with creative names like nvrjuasltyrhj@uk.us.net.com.org.gov. since April 25. The most recent message was dated Monday, May 22, 2006. Today is Sunday, May 20. In case you were wondering that works out to approximately 36 e-mails a day offering me cheap rolex watches, online degrees, free Sony laptops, my lucky numbers, a $1000 shopping spree, and all kinds of interesting herbal supplements - cheap.
As much as I’d love to expand on the wonders of spam mail, I really need to go. I have to e-mail a guy about having millions of REAL AMERICAN DOLLARS transferred from Nigeria into my bank account and then I need to send pay-pal my social security number, my bank account number, my driver’s license number and my credit card number because something happend to their records and they need to update their accounts.

Since it’s a crappy day outside, I’ve decided to catch up on my blogging - even though I don’t really have much to say.
But here’s what I am thinking. This site needs an overhaul. It’s pretty dull. Even the colors are dull. I’m not thinking I need anything big and fancy - and absolutely nothing that spins, bounces, flashes, blinks, or makes any type of noise when you load the page - but I do think that I need a few pictures, maybe a banner at the top, a new color scheme…what do you think?

I hate Spam. The computer kind and the kind that comes in the can.
Because some idiots decided to start spamming Kevin’s site, he’s had to shut down the comments on all of the monkeyouttanowhere productions.
So if you are just dying to comment on one of my super-interesting, super-witty posts, I’m sorry. Until the tech people give us some real answers on how to deal with the situation, we are going comment free.

I was sitting in a meeting yesterday and someone’s cell phone started to ring but this wasn’t just a normal ring or a familiar song - it was the Munchkins. You know, the ones from the Wizard of Oz? Remeber the scene where they all start chanting “Follow the yellow brick road” in those distorted mousey/gravely voices? Now picture those voices trapped in a cell phone chanting “Answer the cellular phone! Answer the cellular phone!” Kinda creepy.

I was looking at all the blogs Kevin has book-marked and I found an interesting entry on this one. There is a show on the Disccovery Chanel called Animal Face-Off. I checked out the website and basically they take all the stats from two major preditors and create CGI versions to fight a winner-takes-all type battle. (Don’t worry - no animals are actually used. It’s all animatronics and CGI stuff) Anyway, they figure out stuff like jaw power, speed, stamina, agility, etc. to create as realistic of a fight as possible. I’ve never seen the show since I don’t have cable but if I ever do get to see the show here are some of the match-ups I’d like to see:
Great White Shark vs. Nile Crocodile
Grizzly Bear vs. Tiger (although in that fight I don’t think the bear stands a chance)
Wolf vs. Gorilla
Cheeta vs. Anaconda (or any other type of huge snake)
Crocodile Hunter vs. Komodo Dragon
