A Little Story For You
About 9 years ago, when I was a freshman in college, I wore jeans that were between sizes 8-10. Then my 8’s turned into my “skinny jeans.” A few years later (okay by the end of sophmore year) my 10’s became my skinny jeans and I got rid of all my 8’s. I wasn’t too worried that I wore a size 12. And I stayed a size 12 until about a year and a half ago. Then I quickly jumped to a 14 and almost had to go up another size. But before I went up another size, I found out I was pregnant. And instead of going up a size, I moved into maternity clothes. About 3 weeks after Lexi was born, I fit back into my size 14 jeans. Then about a month later I fit into 12’s.
Tonight I went to Target and bought jeans that were a size 8.
(Just a quick note - no, I did not go on some crazy diet and I also think that the jeans may be slightly off in their size labels because every other brand of jeans I have tried on recently have been at least a 10. It’s just fun to be able to say that after 9 years and having a baby, I can wear a size 8.)
Congrats! I went on a crazy diet, lost a lot of weight, and then gained half of it back.
