I know what you mean though, it’s nice to be near things as awe-inspiring as Lake Superior or the Mississippi (especially on the Washington Ave bridge- great view from there). Heck, I still miss the fact that I’m not a 5 minute bike ride from the wonderful Minnehaha Creek in South Minneapolis, and I haven’t been that close since 4th grade.
Sorry if that was unclear, Neals. I’m working with the National Park Service again to revise the trail guide I wrote a few years back. I went downtown that day for a meeting at the National Park Service headquarters in downtown St. Paul where I used to work.
