iPhoto

March 20th, 2004 Posted in Personal Pics

This is why iPhoto is cool.

I exported the web page in mere minutes. Granted it could use a little more functionality, but for simply spitting out a web page and being able to share my photos with friends — not too shabby.

“Hi everybody, this is Geoff Moore.”

Sorry Kevin, I couldn’t resist. Even if no one else gets the joke.

Check out Galerie, a freeware, non-Apple , iPhoto aware gallery maker. I haven’t used it yet but I’ve heard from reliable sources that it is pretty good.

Ok, I have a PC, and I’d really like to get some software that would make posting photos online easy (like you appear to have found for the Mac). Anyone have any thoughts on where I could find some FREE software (emphasis on free). So far I’ve been using MSN’s photo system, but it sucks because I’m not a sucker enough to pay for more than the 3 mgs they give you. I’d really like to just host them on my personal website. Also, I’m looking for a free compresser that will compress my digital photos quickly without having to go through the whole folder doing each one individually. I’m runnning XP. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
